<div itemprop="description">Peacefully in his sleep in his 83rd year on April 11, 2014. Predeceased by his beloved wife Doreen (February 2013). Cherished Dad of Heather (John Mackie) and Bryan. Much loved Grandpa of Melissa, Mark and Phoebe. Loving brother of Philip (Anne) and predeceased by Langley and Pam. Brother-in-law of Jean (Don Barnard) and Roland (Shelley) Oliver. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews in Canada and England. Born in Sussex, England Ted immigrated to Canada in 1952 and settled in Tillsonburg, Ontario. He started his own construction company and built many homes in the Tillsonburg area. Ted then moved to London, Ontario and became a police officer with the Ontario Provincial Police in 1964. He then joined his two passions of construction and safety and became an inspector and then the manager for the Ministry of Labour, Construction and Safety branch here in London, Ontario in the early 1970's. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Monday, Monday April 14, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home, 1559 Fanshawe Park Road, East of Highbury, 519-452-3770. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 1 pm to be conducted by Pastor John Mackie at North Park Community Church, 1510 Fanshawe Park Road East, London. Interment Siloam Cemetery. A reception to follow at the Church. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to Joy Bible Camp, Crossroads or North Park Community Church.
