Margery Elizabeth Richardson, age 86, of London, Ontario died January 4th, 2016 in her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. Born September 12, 1929 in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Arlo and Ruth (Justason) Hayman.
She was happily married to her childhood sweetheart, the late Charlie Richardson, for 66 years. Up until her final moments she would light up talking about how much she loved ‘my Charlie.’ Margery was gentle, kind and consistently thought of others first. Nowhere did these qualities manifest themselves so strongly than in her servant’s heart that stemmed from knowing Jesus Christ. She was always content to lovingly serve Charlie, her family, her friends or anyone else in need. We are left feeling profoundly grateful for the countless memories, meals we shared, her listening ear and all her daily devotions and prayers. We are forever blessed and changed from knowing her.
Marge is survived by her daughter, Ruth (Tom) Miles; daughter-in-law Sandra Richardson; grandchildren Dodie (Ian) Bates, Tara Richardson, Jacob (Dana) Miles, Hailey (Mike) Carnegie, Joel (Anna) Miles; and 9 great-grandchildren Caileigh and Aselin Bates, Ezra, Adah and Bryn Miles, Charlie, Haddon and Georgia Carnegie, and Henry Miles. Marge was preceded in death by her husband Charlie, her son James, and her brother John.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday January 8, 2016 at Northpark Community Church on 1510 Fanshawe Park Road East, London. A visitation service will be held on Thursday January 7, 2016 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home on 1559 Fanshawe Park Road East, London. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Refugee Settlement c/o Northpark Community Church or New Life Prison Ministry.
