<div itemprop="description">BUYS, MECHELINA <br> <br>Peacefully at Chartwell Nursing Home in London on May 6, 2016. Mechelina Adriana Buys nee van Buul in her 86th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Johannes Buys. Dear mother of Tom and Mary Buys and Elly and Tim Jentz. Loving Oma of John, Laura, twins Carol and Peter Buys and Emelien, Mark and Benjamin Jentz. Survived by sister Mientje Smolders and her husband Adrianus, brother-in-law Jacobus Buys and sister-in-law Tiny Buys-van Hal (Theo). Predeceased by sisters Johanna van Asseldonk and her husband Ben, Ria van Laarhoven and her husband Martinus, Cor van Vught and her husband Gerard and Nellie Gubbels and her husband Martinus. Also predeceased by in-laws Adrianus Buys and his wife Betsy Buys-van Drunen and Theo Buys (Tiny). She will be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and their families in the Netherlands. Lina, John, Jake and the kids immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands in 1979 and enjoyed farming in Middlesex County. Mom/Oma will be greatly missed and remain in our hearts forever. Special thank you to the caring staff at Chartwell Nursing Home and to those who visited her at the nursing home. The family will receive friends at Memorial Funeral Home, 1559 Fanshawe Park Road East, East of Highbury, 519-452-3770 from 6 to 9 pm on Thursday, May 12th. Funeral Mass to take place on Friday, May 13th at 10 am at St. Michael's Parish, 511 Cheapside Street, London with a reception to follow in the church hall. Interment Robin's Hill Cemetery.
