<div itemprop="description">NEWMAN, RUBY - of London, Ontario (formerly of Windsor, Ontario) went peacefully to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 26th, 2014 in her 91st year. Reunited with her loving father and mother, Harold Newman (1950) and Lizzie (Thompson) Newman (1994). Dearest sister of Leonard Newman (Windsor), Stanley Newman (Winnipeg), Marion Morris (Brampton), Olive (Sterling) Hunter (London), Elsie Belfry (Pickering) and predeceased by brothers Fred Newman (2012) and Garry Newman (2007). Ruby will be sadly missed by 10 nieces and 13 nephews as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends from around the world. Dearest friend of Emily (Tim) Andrews of LaSalle who provided love, assistance and companionship to Ruby in a time of need for which the family is eternally grateful. Ruby was a lifetime member of Bedford (formerly Sandwich) United Church in Windsor. A special thank you to Reverend Ann Corbett of Bedford United Church and now Belle River United Church for the many visits and prayers with Ruby. The family would also like to thank the staff of the Transitions ward at Hotel-Dieu/Grace Hospital in Windsor and Henley Place in London for the tender care given to Ruby in the past two years as well as the staff on the 6th and 9th floor of University Hospital. Ruby spent many years as a volunteer at Grace Hospital in Windsor. She was a world traveller and loved to dance, prompting her to join a clogging group. Burial will be private and in lieu of a funeral, a celebration of Ruby's life will be held at a later date.
